Erkolo Askenafi representing Benedek Team from Debreczyn, Hungary won the Koral Marathon. The winner of the most difficult marathon in Poland reached the result of 2:33:29. The second place was taken by Bogdan Dziuba from Stalowa Wola with the time 2:34:01, and the third place by Wiktor Rogovogoj from LKB Rudnik from Kiev, Ukraine, with the time 2:37:08.
Koral Marathon was so demanding that the winner could not achieve the result set out in the regulation, i.e. the time 2:20:00, which entitled to receipt of the main prize, Fiat 500. In this situation the prize was drawn during the ceremony of handing over prizes, which took place at 16.00 on the main stage in the Promenade in Krynica-Zdroj. The lucky winner of the drawing was Kazimierz Romański from Legionowo, who received the key to passenger car Fiat 500
