Grzegorz Czyż from Bogumiłowice won the Koral Maraton of Running Festival. The winner achieved the result of 2:43:33. Second place was taken by Piotr Pobłocki from Lębork (2:49:52) and Dmytro Ivanysh from Uzgorod (Ukraine) came third with 2:52:21. Among women Danuta Piskorowska from Wrocław turned out as the best with the result 3:03:56 (9th in general classification).
Marathon started at 9:00 on Krynica Promenade with 430 participants. The track led from Krynica, through Muszyna, Jastrzębik, Powroźnik, Tylicz and back to Krynica. - It was a really hard run ? said Grzegorz Czyż on the finish line ? the best marathon runner. ? Already at the start I had problems with my calf, I started having cramps. Later I had stitch, but I made it through. After half the track it was already fine. In Powroźnik I had 2 minutes of advantage from Dmytro, but he was faster with every kilometer. I am very happy with the prize, especially after such a hard marathon.
