Polish record holder will compete in Krynica!
On the second day of the Running Festival -11 September, the Krynica?s Promenade will be the venue of a very spectacular competition ? Exchange Mile ? the race in the distance of 1609 meters. The competition, intended earlier for 16 and 17-year old youth, has become open for all, regardless of age.
Among competitors in the Exchange Mile in Krynica will be Michal Bartoszak ? the holder of the best result in the history of Polish track and field sports in the distance of 1609 meters. Hardly anyone knows that Michal remains the record holder in the route of Congress Avenue Mile Race in Austin, where in 1992 he covered the mile in 3:47,80! Until today it is the fastest result per mile in the history of the American soil on attested route.
Enrollment for the Exchange Mile begins on Thursday, 28 July, at 12.00.
